Your Pregnancy Journey
Congratulations on your pregnancy. This is an extremely exciting time but don’t worry if you are a bundle of nerves too. Your life is about to change in many ways and it is normal to feel overwhelmed. The next 10 months will involve a combination of new symptoms, lots of appointments and exciting scans. The following link is a timeline checklist of what to expect. You can print it off and use it as a reminder to ensure you have attended all of your appointments.
If you haven’t already, please ensure that you have registered with your local hospital. Usually this is done online as a self referral. Just type in the hospital name on google followed by maternity self referral to find the form.
Please also ensure that you have started taking folic acid and vitamin D. You can speak to your GP if you want a prescription or alternatively you can buy a pregnancy supplement from the pharmacy.
Appointment timeline
There are quite a few hospital and midwife appointments to keep on top of as well as your vaccine appointments. The following is a checklist so that you can tick off which appointments you have done. If this is not your first pregnancy and it is low risk, you will have fewer appointments unless your pregnancy is considered high risk.
